Xtb mt4 vs mt5 reliability: which felt steadier for you and were rebates identical?

I am trying to decide between MT4 and MT5 on XTB. I care more about reliability than features. I run a simple EA and modify stops a lot, so disconnects or slow order updates are a problem. I also want to make sure rebates post the same way on both.

For those who tried both on XTB, which platform felt more stable during busy sessions, and did you notice any difference in execution quality? Did GlobeGain track trades identically on both platforms for you, or any quirks to expect?

MT5 felt steadier for me rebates identical on both

MT4 had fewer disconnects during Asia for me

Run the same test EA on MT4 and MT5 on the same VPS. Use identical symbols and lot sizes. Record disconnects, order modify speed, and terminal CPU usage. Place ten market orders each session and log slippage. Check if stop updates apply without delay. Rebates are usually calculated per trade regardless of platform, but confirm your account mapping. Compare the per lot amount across both platforms in your rebate dashboard. If there is a mismatch, export statements and send them with ticket numbers. Two weeks of data is enough to decide.

I use MT5 now because order modification feels quicker.

Rebates posted the same for me on both platforms, so I focused on which one handled my EA better.

MT5 is smoother with more tools. I saw the same rebate amount on MT4 and MT5.

My copy trading EA behaved better on MT5 at London open. Less freeze on the terminal and faster partial closes. MT4 was fine overnight but struggled during bursts.

Rebate amounts did not change between platforms. The only delay was on a holiday. I would choose based on the tools you need.
