I’m planning to use XM for my trading strategy, but I’m concerned about platform reliability during volatile periods. I know spreads widen during major news events - that’s normal - but I want to know if the platform itself stays stable when volume spikes.
The reason I’m asking is because I’ve heard stories about both good and bad experiences. Some traders say XM holds up fine. Others claim they’ve had issues with slow order execution or rejected orders during Fed announcements and other high-impact events.
Here’s what I want to know from people actually trading there:
- Does the MT4 or MT5 platform remain responsive during major economic releases?
- Have you experienced order rejection or requotes during volatile news events?
- Does execution lag happen consistently, or is it rare?
- How does XM’s platform stability compare to other brokers you’ve used?
- If you scalp around news events, does the volatility create technical problems on their end?
I’m not looking for the best possible experience - I just want to know if it’s reliable enough to trade through major releases without technical failures. What’s been your actual experience?
