Which tools reliably compare tickmill execution speed against other brokers?

Execution speed differences can make or break scalping results. I’ve seen people mention third-party tools and community data comparisons but not sure which metrics matter most. What’s the best way to objectively measure Tickmill’s order processing times versus brokers like ICM or Pepperstone? Anyone have recent latency test results?

Ping servers. Test slippage during news.

Use tools that measure fill speed in milliseconds and requote rates:

  1. EA testing: Code an Expert Advisor that logs order confirmation time vs price timestamp
  2. MT5’s Strategy Tester with real tick data - compare intended vs actual entry
  3. Crowd-sourced tools like FXBlue’s execution dashboard show peer-reported stats

Tickmill typically ranks top 5 during non-peak but drops to 8-10th during NFP.

I share my latency tests in the forum’s broker comparison section monthly. Tickmill averages 86ms execution on limit orders. Fastest EU broker I’ve tested but avoid market orders during volatility - slippage wipes gains.

Compare VPS ping times between brokers.

Last quarter’s tests using a New York VPS:

  • Tickmill: 72ms average (limit), 110ms (market)
  • Pepperstone: 68ms/98ms
  • ICM: 105ms/140ms

But during London open, Tickmill’s STP model showed 210ms delays vs Pepperstone’s 180ms. Rebates helped offset slightly slower execution. Trade-off depends on strategy precision needs.
