Which beginner friendly brokers stayed stable on mt4/mt5 during nfp and cpi?

I’m testing a few brokers for a small news strategy and I keep running into mixed results between demo and live. On MT4 and MT5 during NFP or CPI, did your platform stay connected? Did you see freezes, off quotes, or rejected orders? How did your stops fill when price spiked?

If you have logs, it helps: platform Journal timestamps, server name or number, ping, trade IDs, slippage in pips. Also share how support handled it and if withdrawals after a spike period were smooth. If you used cashback or rebates, did those trades track fine?

Which brokers stayed stable for you under news, and which ones folded?

MT4 stayed up on London servers for me.

To test stability around NFP and CPI, run two platforms on different brokers at the same time. Record ping, tick frequency, and platform Journal events. Use market orders with fixed size and note time from click to fill. Log slippage in pips and any off quotes or rejected orders. Watch for chart freeze and CPU spikes. The strong brokers show continuous ticks, small slippage, and no disconnects. After the event, request a withdrawal and time it. If tracking rebates, confirm those trades post correctly in the report.

I had more freezes on VPS than on my laptop, so test both if you can.

Also avoid indicators that spam alerts during news. They slowed my platform.

Check server numbers. Some servers handle spikes better. Ping and route matter more than brand.

Live NFP last month on MT5. One broker froze for about thirty seconds during the first spike. My stop filled after the freeze with 2.6 pips slippage. Spread widened to near 3 pips on EURUSD.

Another broker stayed responsive. Small slippage around 0.5 to 0.8 and no disconnects. Chat replied in three minutes. Rebate tracked those trades fine the next day. I would still keep size tiny during news.
