What's the deal with the Swiss Franc (CHF)? It seems to be a major "safe-haven" currency. What does that mean?

I keep seeing the Swiss Franc mentioned in forex discussions and news articles as this “safe-haven” currency, but I honestly don’t understand what that actually means in practical terms. Like, what makes the CHF different from other currencies? Why do people flock to it when things get scary in the markets? I’ve noticed that when there’s some kind of crisis or uncertainty, CHF pairs tend to move in specific ways, but I can’t wrap my head around the reasoning behind it. Also, does this safe-haven status make CHF harder or easier to trade? Should I be paying attention to different factors when analyzing Swiss Franc pairs compared to something like EUR/USD? I’m still pretty new to all this, so any explanation that doesn’t require a PhD in economics would be really helpful. Thanks!
