Anyone have actual performance metrics comparing execution speeds and requotes between ECN and Prime accounts? Especially interested in London session EUR/USD performance and whether the zero spread claim holds during news events.
ECN works. No slippage issues.
Key metrics from my 3-month test:
- ECN average execution: 0.8 seconds
- Prime average execution: 1.2 seconds
But during NFP events:
- ECN spreads hit 3.2 pips vs Prime’s 1.8
Recommend: Use ECN for regular hours, switch to Prime/Standard during high-impact news. Combine with VPS for best speeds. Rebates cover 20-30% of commission costs when scalping 80+ lots monthly.
I track execution quality daily. ECN gives me about 90% instant fills during Asia session. London gets trickier - sometimes 1-2 pip slippage. Maybe keep Standard account as backup?
