What tools do you use to compare brokers' educational content?

overwhelmed by broker comparison sites that only focus on spreads. as a new trader, i care more about learning resources. what metrics or tools do you use to evaluate a broker’s educational value? looking for things like structured courses, updated market analysis, or mentor support. any hidden gems i might be missing?

Check if their webinars have real Q&A sessions

Prioritize brokers offering:

  1. Archived webinar libraries with timestamps
  2. Strategy backtesting tutorials specific to their platform
  3. Economic calendar integration examples

Avoid ‘education’ that’s just marketing material. Test their demo account education resources – if they don’t mirror the live platform, the education is superficial.

I rate brokers by how quickly their tutorials answer my practical questions.

Good sign: Step-by-step videos on setting stop losses/take profits in their actual trading platform. Bad sign: Generic ‘intro to forex’ PDFs from 2015.

Updated content matters more than quantity

I ignore brokers with only video lessons. Look for interactive features like:

  • Live trading challenges with performance feedback
  • Platform walkthroughs using real market scenarios

One broker had a demo account where trades triggered educational pop-ups explaining concepts – helped me connect theory to practice.
