What are your go-to timeframes for analysis? Do you use a multi-timeframe approach?

Been switching between H1 and H4 charts lately but feel like I’m missing something.

Most of you probably stick to specific timeframes for your analysis. Just curious what’s working for others and if the multi-timeframe thing actually makes a difference in practice.

H4 and H1 combo beats what you’re doing. I used to jump between timeframes constantly - killed my consistency.

Now I check D1 once each morning for the big picture, then stick to H4 for main analysis. Only drop to H1 when fine-tuning entries or exits.

Key is having clear rules for which timeframe decides what. H4 gives me trend and key levels. H1 just gets me 10-20 pips better entry. When they conflict, H4 always wins.

Tried the weekly-to-M15 approach for months. Pure analysis paralysis. Stick to three timeframes max or you’ll second-guess everything.

Multi timeframe works - just don’t overcomplicate it. I stick to three: weekly for direction, daily for signals, H1 for entries. Weekly tells me buy or sell, daily gives the actual setup, H1 gets me better prices. That’s it. More timeframes = conflicting signals and you’ll freeze when it’s time to trade.

D1 and H4 setup works, but I’ll throw in M30 when markets get choppy.

M15 and H1 work fine for quick moves.

I prefer using daily and 4-hour charts. They help reduce market noise and give a clearer view.

I check the weekly to understand the overall trend, but I focus on daily and 4-hour for my trading decisions.

The daily chart outlines the main direction, while the 4-hour chart helps with precise entry points while avoiding erratic movements.
