Been seeing way too many projects lately that promise ridiculous returns with zero explanation of how they generate profits.
What red flags do you watch for when evaluating new crypto opportunities? Almost got burned once and want to be smarter about spotting these schemes early.
Referral bonuses are my biggest red flag. If they’re paying more to recruit than for actual trading or staking, it’s a pyramid scheme.
Anonymous teams? Huge warning sign. Legit projects don’t hide their founders. I also check if they can explain how they make money in plain English - if it takes 10 pages of buzzwords, they probably can’t.
Pressure tactics are another giveaway. Real opportunities don’t need countdown timers or “limited spots.” Scammers rush you so you won’t think it through.
The math never works either. 20% monthly returns? They’d need to generate insane profits every single month. Real DeFi yields are way lower than what these schemes promise.
