What are the best currency pairs for a beginner to start with?

Been looking at different pairs to start trading but there’s so many options out there.

Wondering which ones are actually worth focusing on when you’re just getting started. Some seem way more volatile than others.

Start with EUR/USD. It has the lowest spreads, is most liquid, and moves predictably during news. Avoid JPY pairs for now; they react sharply to market news. GBP pairs can swing wildly, especially around major events like Brexit. Focus on one pair for your first month and learn its behavior during key economic announcements. Many beginners jump between pairs and miss important patterns for consistent profits.

Start with EUR/USD and GBP/USD. They’re predictable and have tight spreads.

I jumped into exotic pairs early thinking bigger moves = bigger profits. Wrong. Lost money fast because they gap overnight and wreck your account.

Stick with majors for 6 months minimum. USD/JPY’s solid too but acts weird during Asian hours.

Once you can read price action on these, try USD/CAD or AUD/USD. Leave the volatile stuff until you actually know what you’re doing.

EUR/USD is your best bet, but USD/CHF is worth watching too. They have smooth moves and decent spreads.

USD/CHF taught me a lot about momentum without the crazy GBP spikes.

Stick to the London and NY overlap when liquidity is thick to avoid weird price jumps.
