using fibonacci numbers calculator in my trading strategy

Been playing around with fib retracements for entry points but the manual calculations are getting tedious.

Anyone found a decent calculator that handles multiple timeframes? Need something that updates quickly when price action changes.

Been there with manual calculations. Huge time waster.

Most platforms handle this automatically, but I’ve found tricks that speed things up even more.

Set up hotkeys for your fib tool if possible. I can drop fibs in 2 seconds now without touching menus.

For multiple timeframes, I keep one main fib on the daily chart and only use smaller ones on lower timeframes when they confirm the bigger picture. Less clutter, better decisions.

One thing nobody mentioned - some brokers have way better fib tools. FXCM’s platform had really smooth fib drawing compared to others I tried. The levels stayed locked properly even during volatile sessions.

Don’t overthink the calculator part. Get good at spotting the right swing points first. That’s where most traders screw up their fib analysis.

Most platforms have built-in fib tools that’ll do the work for you. Here’s a TradingView setup guide:

Way faster than doing the math yourself.

Skip the calculators - your broker does this automatically. Draw fibs once between major swing points and they lock to price action. Price moves, levels adjust instantly. I use the same fib drawing across all timeframes. Key levels (38.2%, 50%, 61.8%) work whether you’re on 1H or daily charts. Just zoom in and out. Focus on finding clean swing highs and lows. Bad reference points make any calculator worthless.

TradingView’s built-in fib tool auto-updates as price moves. Just drag it between swing high and low - it recalculates instantly.

I’ve used it for years and it beats manual calculations every time. The alerts are great too - set notifications when price hits your fib levels.

For multiple timeframes, I keep separate charts with different fib setups. 4H and daily give me the best confluence for entries.

MT4 has decent fib indicators if that’s your platform. The alexonbstudio one worked well when I tested it last year.

Most charting platforms do this automatically once you set the swing points. I just use the basic fib tool that’s already built in - no need for extra calculators.

Just mark your swing highs and lows right. The math handles itself.

For multiple timeframes, I switch between chart periods and redraw the fibs when I need to. Takes about 30 seconds per timeframe.

Try using TradingView for quick fib updates.
