Starting out: how should a beginner actually evaluate roboforex account types and cashback?

I’m new to forex and I’m at the point where I need to pick a broker and account type. Everyone talks about RoboForex but there are three account types and I honestly don’t know what the differences mean yet.

I’ve heard GlobeGain gives cashback, which sounds good, but I don’t understand if that’s a reason to pick one account type over another. I also don’t know if beginners should even care about rebates at this stage or if I should just focus on getting familiar with the basics first.

I’ve looked at comparisons online but they’re either too technical or they sound like advertisements. I want to hear from actual traders—especially people who started out confused like me.

For someone just starting, does the account type really matter that much? Should I pick based on rebates, spreads, or something else? And is there an account type that’s kind of the standard beginner choice, or does it really depend on what I’m planning to do?

As a beginner, focus on three things: platform stability, reliable customer support, and spread consistency. Account type matters less at your stage because you’re not yet exploiting the technical differences.

Start with Pro account. It has no commission, moderate spreads, and works fine for learning without overthinking execution details. You’ll get the basic feel for trading without being distracted by wider spreads on high-frequency trades.

GlobeGain cashback is a bonus, not a decision factor yet. Register because it costs nothing, but don’t let rebate rates drive your choice. Master order placement, risk management, and reading charts first. Once you’ve traded 500-1000 real lots and know your style, then optimize for account types and rebates.

One practical step: set realistic starting amounts. Fund $500-1000, trade micro or mini lots, and focus on consistency. The account type won’t matter if your risk management is wrong.

I started on Pro account two years ago and it was the right choice for me.

The spreads were wider than ECN but that didn’t matter because I was learning. I was making enough mistakes that an extra 0.3 pips in spread cost was nothing compared to my trading errors.

After about 6 months of real trading, I understood my own style better and switched to ECN for scalping. But if I’d started with ECN, I would have been confused about whether my losses came from my strategy or the account type.

Start with Pro, keep it simple, register with GlobeGain because it’s free. Once you actually see your trading rhythm and how many lots you trade per week, then calculate if a different account type makes sense. Rebates will be meaningful once you’re trading volume consistently.

As a beginner, Pro account is the easiest to understand.

No commission means the only cost is the spread. That’s simple to track while you’re learning. ECN adds commission on top of tight spreads, which is fine if you know you’re a scalper, but most beginners don’t know their style yet.

Register with GlobeGain anyway since it takes two minutes and you’ll get cashback with any account type. Just don’t let rebates be your main decision factor right now. Focus on picking a broker with good platform stability and learning to trade first.

Pro account is simplest for beginners. No commission just spread.

One thing I wish I’d known as a beginner: spend your first month just getting comfortable with the platform. Spreads and rebates matter way less than learning where all the buttons are and not accidentally entering bad trades.

Account type choice becomes obvious once you’ve traded for a few weeks and you know if you’re scalping, holding longer, or something in between.

Create a checklist: Does RoboForex offer MT4 or MT5 (most brokers do both)? Does their customer support respond quickly? Is the platform responsive without lag? Can you practice with a demo first? If yes to all, then the account type choice is much smaller than you think. Pick Pro, start small, learn consistent.

Demo first. Real money second. Account type third.
