Hey everyone! I’ve been looking into CFD trading lately and wondering if there are still trustworthy platforms out there. I know a lot of traders have switched to futures contracts, but I’m specifically interested in CFDs right now.
I’m primarily a scalper, so I really need a broker that offers high leverage ratios - ideally around 500:1. This kind of leverage is essential for my trading strategy since I work with small price movements and need to maximize position sizes.
Has anyone here had good experiences with CFD brokers recently? I’m looking for platforms that are legitimate, have good execution speeds, and won’t give me headaches with withdrawals. Any suggestions would be really helpful!
Exness and XTB both offer 500:1 leverage. I’ve been scalping on both for 3 years.
Exness has zero spread accounts during certain hours - great for EUR/USD scalps. Withdrawals hit my card in 2-3 days and execution stays solid during news events.
XTB caps some pairs lower but their platform doesn’t lag. Customer support actually helps when stuff breaks.
500:1 leverage means tight stops are crucial. I got burned when a surprise rate announcement killed 40% of my account in 5 minutes. Now I never risk over 1% per trade.
If you’re scalping during session overlaps, test both with small positions first. Some brokers slow down when volume spikes.
Those 500:1 leverage offers? They’re usually from sketchy brokers that seem amazing until you actually try to withdraw your profits.
I stick with regulated platforms even if leverage is capped lower. I’d rather have reliable access to my money than chase crazy ratios with questionable operators.
If you’re scalping, focus on broker reliability and execution speed - not leverage amounts.
Been trading CFDs for 6 years, mostly scalping EUR/USD and GBP/JPY. Used 500:1 leverage with offshore brokers but it burned me more than it helped.
IC Markets is my main broker now. Execution’s solid, rarely see requotes during London open. Leverage caps at 30:1 for majors (ESMA rules), but EUR/USD spreads start at 0.0 pips.
Also use Pepperstone - similar setup but MT5 feels smoother for quick entries/exits.
Want 500:1? You’ll need unregulated brokers. Just expect withdrawal headaches later. Two brokers went dark on me already.
For scalping, tight spreads and fast execution beat crazy leverage every time. I make more consistent money with 30:1 and reliable fills than I ever did with 500:1 and constant slippage.
High leverage looks tempting but it’s a scalper trap. I’ve watched too many solid traders nuke their accounts chasing 500:1 ratios. Here’s the thing - with decent position sizing, you rarely need more than 100:1 anyway. Spreads and execution delays kill scalping profits, not leverage caps. Check out FP Markets or Global Prime for higher ratios with real regulation. Both go up to 500:1 on some accounts. But honestly? Focus on finding brokers with sub-10ms execution instead. That speed boost will earn you way more than extra leverage ever will.
