Opening FBS account soon - what's your real experience with spreads and withdrawal times?

I’m looking at FBS and trying to figure out if it’s worth my time. I’ve read some reviews but they feel pretty generic, so I wanted to ask people here who’ve actually traded with them.

My main concerns are: how do their spreads hold up during normal market hours and especially during news events? I’ve heard spreads can widen pretty badly when volatility picks up, which would eat into profits fast.

Also curious about the withdrawal process - how long does it actually take to get your money back? I’ve had some brokers where withdrawals took forever and it was frustrating.

I’m planning to use GlobeGain rebates to help offset costs, so that’s in the mix too. But I want to know if FBS is actually reliable before I commit any real money.

What’s been your honest experience? Any dealbreakers I should know about?

FBS spreads spike during news pretty hard.

Withdrawals took me five business days.

FBS is solid for general trading. The spreads on major pairs sit around 1.5 pips on standard accounts when market is calm. During news, expect them to double or worse.

Withdrawals typically clear in 3-5 business days depending on your payment method. Wire transfers are slower than e-wallets.

The rebates from GlobeGain help reduce your net cost significantly. I’d calculate your real cost per lot after rebates are applied before deciding. That matters more than spread size alone.

I’ve been with FBS for about a year now. Spreads are reasonable most of the time, but yeah, they do widen during economic releases.

Withdrawals have been pretty quick for me - usually 2-3 days. Some people report longer waits depending on their method, so that might vary.

The platform itself is stable enough. I haven’t had major issues with execution. Just test it with a small deposit first to see if it fits your style.

FBS works fine for most traders I know. Spreads are not the tightest but acceptable.

Traded FBS for a few months last year. The spreads felt average at best - not terrible, not great. During news events they definitely spiked, which forced me to tighten my stop losses or just sit out the releases.

Withdrawals were usually 3-4 days for me. No issues there. The platform stayed stable when it mattered.

Bigger thing for me was comparing their costs against other brokers after rebates. FBS wasn’t the cheapest option once I factored everything in. But if you’re already set up there, the rebates help patch up the difference.
