My detailed experience and thoughts on FBS trading platform

I’ve been examining FBS as a trading platform and wanted to share my insights about this broker. Established in 2009, they primarily focus on forex trading, commodities, and stocks. The platform appears user-friendly and caters to traders from a number of different countries.

What I appreciated about FBS:

  • Variety of account types: They offer different accounts such as micro, standard, and zero-spread, which suit both novice and experienced traders.
  • High leverage options: Leverage can go up to 1:3000, enabling larger trades with smaller capital, though this carries risk.
  • Attractive bonus offers: They provide deposit bonuses and a loyalty program that enhances trader value.
  • Educational resources: There are numerous webinars, video tutorials, and market analyses to assist beginners in learning effectively.
  • Intuitive interface: The platform is designed to be straightforward, making it accessible for newcomers.

Concerns I had:

  • Risks of high leverage: While leverage can boost profits, it also poses significant risks of considerable losses, especially for inexperienced traders.
  • Geographic restrictions: FBS isn’t available in some places, including the USA, due to regulatory issues.
  • Withdrawal fees: Certain withdrawal options incur costs, which can deter users looking for a no-fee experience.

My final thoughts:

Overall, FBS appears to be a suitable choice for those interested in forex and CFD trading. They provide a range of account types and tools, but caution is necessary regarding high leverage and associated risks. If you are considering using this platform, it is crucial to have a well-formulated trading strategy and possibly start practicing with their demo account.

Used FBS for 6 months in 2019. MT4 worked fine for swing trading, but execution got sketchy during major news events.

That 1:3000 leverage is a total trap. I used 1:100 and still blew my account when starting out. Zero spread account looks good until you see those commissions pile up.

You missed their customer support - it’s painfully slow. My first withdrawal took almost a week to process.

Educational content is okay but nothing you can’t find free elsewhere. Their bonus has crazy trading volume requirements most people don’t notice until withdrawal time.

I switched brokers after they had major slippage during Brexit volatility. Fine for small trades but couldn’t handle big market moves.

FBS spreads can be misleading. A zero spread account may have high commissions that end up costing you more. Always calculate your total cost before deciding.

High leverage like 1:3000 sounds appealing but can quickly lead to losses. Most successful traders use much lower leverage.

Check execution quality during volatile times like news releases to ensure you’re getting the service you need.

I traded with FBS for six months but decided to move on.

The spreads on main currency pairs were higher compared to other brokers, particularly during peak trading times. I also found their customer support inconsistent when I faced account issues.

The initial appeal of their bonus programs faded quickly since the trading volume requirements felt excessive.

Tried FBS but found better platforms with lower fees.

High leverage can be dangerous. Consider sticking to lower ratios to manage your risk better.

Used FBS for 6 months in 2019. Spreads were okay during London session but got crazy wide during news events.

That 1:3000 leverage? Pure marketing BS. Stuck with 1:100 - more than enough for swing trading.

You didn’t mention execution quality though. Got hit with requotes during volatile periods, especially GBPUSD. That’s when I switched to IC Markets and haven’t looked back since.

Customer support was all over the place. Live chat was fast but good luck getting trading issues fixed through email.

If you’re gonna try them, demo everything first. Platform worked fine but MT4 execution felt sluggish compared to other brokers.
