Is XM withdrawal speed actually a problem or just unlucky timing?

I keep seeing posts about XM taking a long time to process withdrawals, but I’m not sure if this is a real issue or just a few people who got unlucky. I want to know what the actual average experience is before I open an account there.

So I’m asking: when you request a withdrawal from XM, how long does it typically take before the money hits your bank account? Are we talking a few days or closer to a week? Does the amount matter? Does it depend on your account type or verification status?

I’ve used GlobeGain to look at broker comparisons and transparency ratings, but withdrawal speed isn’t something you can really verify from a review. This is where real trader experience matters. What have you actually seen?

XM’s stated withdrawal time is 2-5 business days. In practice, if your account is fully verified upfront, most withdrawals clear within 3-4 days. The bottleneck is usually your bank receiving it, not XM processing it.

The people complaining about slow withdrawals almost always have incomplete verification. Missing a document scan or using old address information causes delays. Complete your verification when you open the account, not when you try to withdraw.

For large withdrawals above $10,000, expect it to take slightly longer—4-7 days—because their compliance team does additional checks. This is normal at regulated brokers.

I’ve done about 15 withdrawals from XM over 3 years. Average time is about 4 days from request to my bank account. Couple of times it was 2 days, couple times it was almost a week.

The week-long waits usually happened when I was withdrawing on a Friday or when I had submitted new verification documents recently. Seems like their system flags accounts for additional review during those times.

Once the money left XM’s system, it was quick. The delays were on their end, not my bank’s.

Usually 3-4 days for me. Once took 6 days no real reason.

Withdrawals from XM took about a week for me but I wasn’t in a rush. Seemed fine compared to other brokers I’ve used.

My withdrawals from XM have been pretty consistent. Usually takes about 3-4 business days. I’ve never waited more than 5 days.

I think the key is just having everything verified and ready before you need to withdraw. If you’re scrambling to find old documents when you’re ready to pull money out, that’s where delays happen.

I’d say XM’s withdrawal speed is fine. Not the fastest, not the slowest.

Compared to other brokers, XM is middle of the pack. Axi and FxPro usually are slightly faster—2-3 days most of the time. But the difference isn’t huge. If you need your money in 2 days vs 4 days, that might matter to you. For most people, a few extra days doesn’t make a big difference.

I haven’t had issues with XM withdrawals, honestly. The platform keeps everything transparent—you can track your withdrawal status right in the app.

They’ve never delayed on my end or done anything sketchy. If that’s a concern for you, I’d say XM is reliable enough to trust.

Don’t stress too much about this. If XM was actually scamming people on withdrawals, they’d have more than forum complaints. Regulation backs it up.
