is there a market psychology chart for beginner traders to use?

Been trading for a few months now and keep making the same emotional mistakes.

Wondering if there’s some kind of psychology chart or reference that shows common trader behaviors during different market phases. Something visual that might help me recognize when I’m about to do something stupid.

Most psychology charts are too general to be useful. The market cycle diagrams show basic emotions but don’t help when you’re actually in a position watching price move against you. What works better is creating your own reference based on your actual trading data. Track three things: your emotional state before entering, the market condition, and the outcome. After 20-30 trades you’ll see clear patterns. I found my worst decisions happened during news events and right after big winning streaks. Now I have rules for both situations that prevent most emotional mistakes.

Yeah there are a few decent ones out there. The classic market cycle chart shows euphoria at the top and despair at the bottom - really helps you see where you are emotionally.

But honestly what worked better for me was printing out screenshots of my worst trades and writing down what I was feeling right before I clicked buy or sell. Started seeing patterns pretty quick.

The FOMO trades always happened when I saw a big green candle. The revenge trades came right after I closed a loss. Once you know your triggers it gets easier to catch yourself.

There’s also this simple rule I follow now - if my heart rate goes up before entering a trade, I wait 5 minutes. Saved me from so many stupid decisions.

The fear and greed index is pretty basic but helps. Also just keeping a trading journal works better than any chart.

Simple position sizing helps more than any psychology chart I’ve seen.

When you risk small amounts per trade you naturally make better decisions because the fear drops way down. Those emotional mistakes usually happen when too much money is on the line.

I keep my risk at 1% per trade and noticed my psychology improved without needing to study charts about market emotions.
