I’m feeling quite frustrated with my trading experience and am looking for some honest opinions. This is the second time I’ve encountered a situation where my take profit orders haven’t been executed correctly, while my stop loss seems to trigger just fine. I’m beginning to think there might be some issues with the platform or it’s just my bad luck. I often see people online saying they never face such problems, but I can’t help but feel skeptical since they have affiliate programs. Could it be that those praising them are just affiliates? I was under the impression that this was one of the top brokers for traders in Australia, and I’m from AU too. Has anyone else witnessed their take profit orders not working as they should? I’m eager to find out if this is a widespread issue or if I need to consider switching brokers.
Your orders probably never hit Pepperstone’s servers. TradingView’s API fails during volatility spikes. Check your Pepperstone account’s order history. If there’s nothing there, it’s definitely TradingView’s fault, not an execution issue. Ditch TradingView for placing orders. Use cTrader desktop or web terminal instead. You can still keep TradingView open for charts if you like them. This happens with many brokers when using TradingView. The platform just wasn’t built for serious trading.
TradingView misses orders during volatility events.
Check if your TP orders show up in the Pepperstone client area after placing them on TradingView.
I’ve seen this too - orders fail during news or fast markets. The TV-Pepperstone connection gets overwhelmed when volume spikes.
Keep using TradingView for charts but place trades through cTrader or their web platform. Way more reliable execution.
It’s usually TradingView bridge issues, not the broker. The TV-Pepperstone connection drops orders during volatile markets. Check your Pepperstone account directly - see if those TP orders actually made it through. Most of the time they never leave TradingView. I’ve had this happen with several brokers through TV. Now I use MT4 for trading and TV just for charts. Haven’t had the problem since.
Been there. Lost count of how many TPs got stuck in the TradingView pipeline over the years.
TV and Pepperstone connection craps out during heavy volume or network issues. Your orders just sit there while the market screws you.
I chart on TradingView but execute everything through cTrader now. Takes 10 extra seconds to switch platforms but saves me from blown exits.
Pepperstone’s solid when you go direct. The TV integration fails exactly when you need it most.
TradingView’s execution is trash. Just use cTrader directly.
Had the same issue last month. Switch to cTrader’s mobile app - way more reliable than TradingView’s connection.
Same thing happened to me 6 months ago. It’s not Pepperstone - TradingView’s broker connection gets flaky.
Just place orders through cTrader instead. I ditched TradingView for executions after missing three profitable exits in one week. Now I use TV for charts only and run everything through cTrader.
Yeah, the affiliate reviews are garbage. But Pepperstone executes fine on their own platform. Try cTrader for a week - your TP orders should fill normally.
