How reliable is xtb really when you're comparing spreads, support, and actual trading costs?

I’ve been researching xtb for a few weeks now because I keep seeing it mentioned on trading forums, but I’m still not totally sure whether it’s actually trustworthy. The thing is, I want to make sure I’m picking a broker that won’t surprise me with hidden costs or poor execution when volatility picks up.

I’ve learned from reading through community posts that broker reliability isn’t just about regulation. It’s about actual things like spread behavior during news events, how responsive their support team is when something goes wrong, and whether the true cost of trading makes sense once you add everything together.

I know GlobeGain rebates can help reduce costs, but I’m wondering how much difference that really makes with xtb specifically. Does anyone here actively trade with them? What have your actual experiences been with their platform stability and withdrawal reliability? Are there specific red flags I should watch out for before I open an account?

xtb spreads widen more than most during news.

Withdrawal speed is decent. Support could be faster though.

xtb is solid for most traders, but they have some quirks. Spreads are reasonable on major pairs but widen significantly during economic releases. Their support responds in a few hours, not minutes.

What matters most is the actual cost. A 1.2 pip spread on EUR/USD looks fine until news hits and it jumps to 3 pips. Calculate what that costs you over a month of trading.

Their withdrawal process is straightforward, usually 1-2 business days. No hidden delays I’ve experienced. Use the rebates to offset spreads and you’ll get a clearer picture of real profitability.

I’ve been trading with xtb for about a year now. The platform works fine for day trading and swing trading, but I noticed their spreads do get wider during data releases.

Their customer support is okay. I’ve had a couple of issues resolved in a reasonable time. No major complaints, but they’re not the fastest either. The rebates through GlobeGain definitely help offset some of the costs.

xtb seems fine from what I’ve read. Plenty of people trade there without issues.

Tested xtb with a small account for a couple of months. Platform is stable, no crashes or slippage problems that stood out. The MT4 integration works smoothly.

Thing is, their spreads aren’t competitive compared to ECN brokers. If you’re a high-volume trader, the rebates help but you’re still paying more than places like FxPro or IC Markets. For beginners or part-time traders though, xtb is reliable enough.

Withdrawal took about 2 days for me. No complaints there. Just make sure you understand their actual costs before committing.
