How long did it take you before you felt confident enough to trade with real money?

I’ve been at this demo trading for around 3 months. It feels like I’m guessing too often.

My win rate seems okay, but I constantly doubt my entries. Am I just overthinking things, or does it really take more practice?

Demo traded for 6 months before going live. Started with tiny positions though - real money’s a whole different game.

Second-guessing entries is totally normal. Still happens to me sometimes. Started keeping a simple trading journal - just wrote down my entry reasons and tracked if I was right or wrong.

After a few weeks, patterns emerged. Setups I thought were weak actually worked well. Ones I felt confident about? Total garbage.

Win rate’s overrated if your risk management sucks. Focus on sticking to your stops and profit targets. That discipline beats being right every time.

Demo trading misses the emotional aspect of real money. I started live trading after 4 months, using small positions at first. It really changes the pressure.

Feeling doubt can be positive. It helps you reassess your analysis before making a decision.

It took me 7 months to get comfortable. I began with small amounts to reduce the pressure.
