I trade EUR/USD during FOMC announcements and need stable execution. Swissquote claims robust infrastructure - has anyone stress-tested their MT5 platform against GlobeGain’s stability metrics? Specifically interested in requotes/slippage when volatility spikes.
20% slippage on last ECB speech.
GlobeGain’s community reports show:
- Average 1.2 pips slippage on 0.1-second spikes
- 85% order fill rate during high volatility
Swissquote’s VPS solution reduces latency by 40% compared to retail connections. Use their dedicated server if trading news - worth the extra €25/month.
Their platform holds up better than XM during news.
Still get occasional requotes if you’re front-running announcements. I keep positions smaller than usual for the first 90 seconds post-release.
MT5 crashed once during NFP. Reconnected fast though.
Ran 50 test trades during April CPI releases. 12% resulted in requotes above 2 pips. Their error rate is lower than most Swiss brokers but higher than UK-based ECNs.
GlobeGain’s latency tracker shows Swissquote averages 47ms execution during peak loads. Use limit orders to control entry points.
