How does IG's support stack up against other major forex brokers?

I’ve been trying to narrow down which broker to use, and I realized I don’t have a good framework for comparing support quality across different platforms. IG comes up a lot, but so do names like FxPro, Exness, and a few others.

The challenge is that support quality feels subjective. One person has a great experience and another has the opposite with the same broker. So I’m wondering if there’s a way to compare them more systematically.

I’m looking for things like: response times, availability across time zones, how they handle complex issues versus simple ones, whether they actually help you solve problems or just give you canned responses.

I’m also curious about this - does a broker’s size or reputation affect their support quality? Does IG have an advantage or disadvantage compared to smaller or larger competitors?

How would you actually compare IG’s support against other brokers you’ve used? What are the key differences you’ve noticed?

IG is average. FxPro is faster. Exness is decent but inconsistent.

Honestly support varies too much. Don’t choose broker based on that alone.

IG has better hours than some smaller brokers. That’s the real difference.

Support quality doesn’t correlate directly with broker size. Some huge brokers have terrible support because they’re disorganized. Smaller ones sometimes excel because they can’t afford to ignore issues.

IG has the advantage of being well-established. They have documented processes for most common problems. FxPro invests more in live support, which is why people often feel heard faster there. Exness has grown so fast their support infrastructure hasn’t kept pace.

The real comparison: test them all with the same question and time the responses. That’s more useful than any ranking.

One metric nobody talks about: do they actually escalate or do they just close tickets? IG’s support will escalate technical issues to their trading desk. Some brokers won’t. That matters when you need real problem-solving versus generic help.

I’ve traded with IG and FxPro. Both are solid but different.

IG feels more institutional - good for account questions and documentation. FxPro’s support is more personal and faster for urgent trading issues. Neither is “better,” they’re just different approaches.

The support differences I’ve seen usually come down to how many traders they’re serving at once. During quiet markets, everyone’s support looks great. During volatile periods, the gaps show up.

IG and FxPro both have good support hours. Exness is okay but the wait times are longer.

I’ve had faster responses from smaller brokers honestly. IG sometimes takes longer.

It really depends when you need help. Some brokers are better at different times.

One thing I’ve noticed: brokers that use support teams in multiple countries tend to have better overall availability. IG does this better than most, which is actually an underrated advantage when you factor in 24-hour market coverage.
