How do I use a tool like TradingView to do my analysis? Any beginner tips?

Just started with TradingView and honestly feeling overwhelmed by all the indicators and drawing tools.

Spent hours yesterday trying to set up basic support and resistance lines but kept messing up the timeframes. The interface has so many buttons and options that I’m not sure where to focus first.

Horizontal lines and volume bars only until profitable.

Start with key price levels before you mess with drawing tools. Find the major highs and lows from the last few months on your daily chart. Watch how price bounces off these levels. Once you’re spotting these reactions consistently, throw in something simple like moving averages.

Start with something simple - just 20 and 50 moving averages plus basic trend lines.

Start with just price action - turn off everything except price bars and volume. Learn horizontal support and resistance levels first, that’s it. Stick to higher timeframes like daily or 4-hour charts since the patterns are way cleaner and easier to spot. Weekly charts are perfect for major levels. Master one timeframe completely before you even think about switching around. Most beginners jump between timeframes and just confuse themselves. Pick daily charts and stick with them for at least a month.
