has anyone tried a forex profit calculator?

Been manually calculating potential profits and losses before trades, but it’s getting tedious.

Thinking about using one of those online forex calculators. Do they provide accurate results, or is it better to stick to manual calculations?

Most calculators nail the basic math, but I double-check anything larger than my normal position size.

They are great for quickly scanning multiple setups. Just remember they assume you’ll get perfect fills at current prices.

Slippage and requotes will mess with your actual results, especially on volatile pairs during busy sessions.

I’ve used forex calculators for years - they’re solid for basic profit/loss math. Accuracy isn’t an issue with decent ones since the calculations are pretty straightforward.

Honestly, I find them more useful for position sizing than profit calculations. Punch in your risk percentage and account size, and it spits out the exact lot size. Real time-saver and stops you from screwing up your position size when you’re rushing into a trade.

Babypips has a good free one. Investing.com’s works well too. Just make sure whatever you pick pulls live spreads from your broker - that stuff matters for your actual results.

One thing though - always do a quick sanity check. If the calculator says you’ll make $500 but something feels off, trust that feeling and double-check your inputs.

They work fine for quick estimates, but they won’t account for spread changes during news events.

Use them but double check the swap rates manually.
