I’m doing my homework before opening a live account with FBS, and I want to know what the platform actually feels like to trade on beyond just reading reviews.
I’ve heard mixed things about their MT4 performance during volatile news events - some people say it’s solid, others mention slippage or platform lag at crucial moments. And then there’s the withdrawal side, which I think is just as important. I don’t care about fancy features; I care about whether the platform executes my orders cleanly and whether I can actually get my money out without jumping through hoops or waiting weeks.
Has anyone here tested FBS during a major news event like a rate decision? What happened to your execution? And on the withdrawal side, what was your actual timeline from request to receiving funds? Any issues or surprises?
Tested FBS through a few major news events. Their execution held up better than I expected, honestly. No major slippage on my entry or exit orders during the initial spike.
Withdrawals have been smooth for me. I request on Monday, funds hit my bank account by Friday most of the time. They do require some verification paperwork if you haven’t withdrawn before, which adds a couple days, but it’s standard stuff.
The MT4 platform itself is stable. No weird lag or crashes. It’s basic, which is fine. I’m not trading off a dozen indicators anyway.
FBS’s platform stability is solid during normal market hours. Their server infrastructure handles volume well.
News events are where you see the difference between brokers. FBS does slip on fast moves, but it’s not extreme. You’ll see 0.5 to 1.5 pips of slippage on a rate decision, which is average for the industry.
Withdrawal process: clean and direct. Bank transfer goes out within 24 to 48 hours after approval. No hidden fees that I’ve seen. They do require identity verification the first time, which takes 1 to 2 business days. Standard compliance stuff.
For a beginner, this is acceptable. For someone doing high-frequency scalping, watch how FBS handles their news volatility with a demo account first.
Platform stable. Withdrawals take 3 to 5 days max.
I’ve been on FBS for about 4 months now. The MT4 platform runs smooth on my end. I haven’t hit any weird issues or crashes.
During the last big news event, I noticed the spreads widened like they do everywhere, but my orders filled at reasonable prices. Nothing crazy.
Withdrawals went through in about a week total. First time took a bit longer because of verification, but that’s just them checking your details. Not a big deal.
FBS works fine for me. No major problems with the platform or withdrawals.
