Hey everyone, I’m thinking about starting to trade with XTB and wanted to get some feedback from people who actually use this platform. What are the main downsides or issues you’ve encountered while trading with them? Are there any important things I should be aware of before opening an account?
The main reason I’m considering XTB is because they accept Skrill deposits, which is perfect for me since I already have funds there. This would help me avoid extra bank transfers and complicated tax documentation. Has anyone else used Skrill with them? How smooth is the deposit process?
Would really appreciate any honest reviews or advice from current or former XTB users. Thanks in advance!
Used XTB for 18 months before switching. Skrill deposits hit same day, no documentation headaches.
Deal breaker was their requoting during volatile times. Click buy at one price, get filled 2-3 pips worse. Constant problem during London open.
Charts are basic but work fine. You’ll want TradingView if you do serious technical analysis.
Here’s what nobody tells you - they cap position sizes during news events. Learned this during NFP when they blocked my usual lot size.
Skrill withdrawals take 2-3 days vs same-day deposits.
XTB’s solid for basic trading. Spreads aren’t the tightest but they’re decent. Only real problem is account verification takes forever.
Skrill deposits are fine, but withdrawals back to Skrill can drag on longer than they should.
Platform’s decent but gets sluggish when markets go crazy. Missed some good trades because fills took forever.
Skrill deposits are fast like everyone says. Their overnight swap rates will eat you alive though - they pile up quick.
Came from another broker last year. Their research tools are pretty bare bones compared to what I had before.
Skrill deposits clear in a few hours. Tax reporting’s bare bones - you’ll track most trades yourself.
Biggest problem is weekend gaps like everyone said. Platform also freezes when volatility spikes.
Been with XTB for two years. Skrill deposits are smooth - processed in a few hours with no extra fees.
xStation platform is intuitive once you learn it. Spreads are competitive on major pairs.
Customer support sucks though. Had a withdrawal issue last year and waited 48 hours for a response. Terrible when you need quick help.
They’ll hit you with €10 monthly inactivity fees after a year of no trading. Keep that in mind.
Their mobile app beats the desktop version for quick trades. I use it more when I’m not at my computer.
Decent broker overall, just don’t count on fast support when things go wrong.
Their weekend gap handling is terrible. XTB doesn’t honor stop losses when markets reopen Monday - I’ve lost money multiple times because stops didn’t trigger at my levels. Skrill deposits work fine, but they cap withdrawals per transaction. You’ll need several withdrawals for bigger profits. Leverage gets cut fast during news events - EUR/USD drops from 1:30 to 1:10 when volatility hits. Keep that in mind if you trade news.
Skrill works fine but check their minimum deposit limits.
