Building a scalping EA that needs millisecond precision. Heard conflicting reports about Exness’ API disconnects vs IC Markets’ slower execution during low liquidity hours. Anyone stress-tested both brokers’ systems between 1-4 AM GMT?
IC Markets faster between 1-2 AM
Ran latency benchmarks last month:
- Exness VPS: 14ms avg but 0.2% packet loss
- IC Markets: 22ms avg zero drops
For algos, consistency beats speed. Losing orders to retries costs more than slightly slower execution. Use IC for Asian session, Exness for London open.
Check the API status dashboard. Exness had 3 outages last month during Tokyo session. IC’s historical data shows more reliability.
Better to use demo accounts for testing both
My hedge fund’s experience:
Exness API failed 3 times during Bank of Japan interventions. IC Markets handled spikes better but had slower order confirmation.
Now we split orders: 70% to IC during Asia, 60% to Exness at London open. Redundancy is key.
