Exness versus ic markets: which broker actually makes more sense for your account?

I’m trying to decide between these two and I want to hear from people who’ve actually traded both or switched between them.

On paper they seem similar. Both have solid regulation, both offer MT4 and MT5, both work with GlobeGain for rebates. But I know there are differences in execution quality, spread behavior, customer support, and withdrawal speed that matter when you’re actually trading.

My specific questions: which one has better spreads during normal trading hours and during news volatility? Which platform feels more stable? How does their support compare when you actually need them? And most importantly, after you factor in rebates with both, which one comes out cheaper for your style of trading?

I’m not looking for marketing material. I want to hear from real traders who have used both accounts and can actually tell me where the differences show up.

Have you used both, and if so, which one would you pick now and why?

Exness cheaper spreads. IC Markets better support honestly.

Both solid. Depends on your trading style mostly.

Both brokers are solid. Here’s the practical difference. Exness is better for volume traders and scalpers because spreads are tighter. IC Markets is better for longer-term traders because support is more responsive.

Exness spreads on EUR/USD: typically 0.8-1.0 pips normal market, spreads widen heavily during news. IC Markets: 0.6-0.7 pips normal, also widen during news but less dramatically.

With rebates factored in through GlobeGain, Exness becomes more competitive for scalping because the base spreads matter more when you’re making many trades.

IC Markets has better support response times if you need help. Exness support is slower.

For pure trading costs after rebates, calculate both for one week of your actual trading volume. Exness usually wins for active traders, IC Markets for casual traders who need support reliability.

I’ve been with IC Markets for three years and I tested Exness for about two months before deciding to stay.

Both work fine, but they felt different. IC Markets support would get back to me within a few hours usually. Exness took longer but still solved my issues.

For spreads, Exness was slightly tighter on average, but IC Markets execution felt cleaner somehow. It’s hard to explain but I trusted the fills more.

After adding rebates, the cost difference was maybe 5-10 dollars per month in my favor with Exness, but I valued the support reliability of IC Markets more. For me, peace of mind was worth the slightly higher cost.

Used both for a bit. Exness spreads are tighter. IC Markets support better. Pick based on what matters more to you.

I’ve traded both for extended periods and this decision came down to my trading style for me.

With Exness, I noticed consistently tighter spreads, especially when using their pro account. The rebates through GlobeGain added up nicely too. But their support was noticeably slower when I had questions.

IC Markets spreads are slightly wider but their support is genuinely faster and more helpful. When I had execution issues, they actually investigated and resolved them.

I ended up staying with Exness because I scalp frequently and those few pips per trade add up. But if I was a swing trader, IC Markets would probably be the move.

The real test is to open micro accounts with both and trade live for one week. The differences get obvious pretty fast when real money is on the line. Your personal risk tolerance and support needs matter more than any forum recommendation.
