Exness platform stability during major news: does mt4 or mt5 actually hold up?

One thing that worries me about any broker is how their platform behaves when market volatility spikes during major news announcements. I’ve had experiences where the platform got so laggy during big moves that I couldn’t execute trades when I wanted to, which cost me money.

I’m trying to decide between Exness and another broker, and platform stability is actually a significant factor for me because I do trade through some of the bigger economic announcements.

I want to know from people who actually test the platform during real volatility: does Exness platform stay responsive when spreads widen and volume picks up? Are there significant delays or slippage? Does it matter whether you’re on MT4 or MT5, or is there not much difference?

Also, I’m curious whether their customer support is actually helpful if something goes wrong during a volatile period. Like if your connection drops or execution fails, how responsive are they?

What’s been your real experience with their platform when it actually matters - during high volatility?

MT5 more stable than MT4 for me during news. Both work fine mostly.

No platform crashes during news. Spreads widen but execution goes through.

I trade through US employment reports and European Central Bank announcements regularly. The platform stays up and responsive.

Spreads obviously widen during news but that’s not a platform problem, that’s just how markets work. Execution is usually instant or within a few milliseconds.

I’ve used both MT4 and MT5. MT5 feels slightly smoother to me but it might just be in my head. Both handles the volatility fine.

The one time I had a connection issue their support responded quickly and it turned out to be on my end anyway.

Traded through several Fed announcements. Platform didn’t crash or lag noticeably.

I specifically tested Exness during the last couple of major employment reports because platform stability during news was the main reason I was considering switching.

The platform was solid. No lag, no disconnects, orders executed instantly. I got some slippage on one trade which was expected given how fast the market moved, but nothing unreasonable.

MT5 is what I primarily use now and it’s been responsive every single time. For whatever reason it feels snappier than the old MT4 interface.

Compare that to my previous broker where the platform would actually become unresponsive during big moves. The difference is night and day. Having a reliable platform when volatility spikes actually changes how you can trade.
