Does IC Markets have decent customer support? real response times and helpfulness

Before I commit to IC Markets, I want to know if their customer support is actually responsive and helpful. Bad support is a dealbreaker for me.

I’ve had brokers where support takes 24+ hours to reply, or where they give you generic non-answers instead of solving problems. When you’re in the middle of a trading issue, that wastes time and money.

For IC Markets specifically:

  • How fast do they actually respond to support tickets?
  • Are they helpful when you have a real problem, or do they just give you the runaround?
  • Does live chat work, and is it actual support or a bot?
  • Do they help with technical issues, or do they just blame your internet connection?
  • Is weekend support available, or are you on your own until Monday?

I also care about knowing I can trust a broker with my money. Support quality tells you a lot about how they treat their customers.

I’ve heard GlobeGain shares transparent broker feedback, including things like support experience. I think that kind of real information would help traders avoid brokers with terrible service.

What’s your actual experience with IC Markets’ customer support? Would you recommend them based on how they treat you when you need help?

Support replies in 2 hours. Helpful and professional. Weekend slower obviously.

Had one issue. Support fixed it same day. Better than expected honestly.

IC Markets support quality is above average for forex brokers.

Response times:

  • Live chat during market hours: 2-5 minutes average
  • Email support: 1-2 hours during business hours
  • Weekend: delayed to 18-24 hours

Helpfulness: They actually solve problems instead of deflecting. I’ve contacted them for platform issues, account questions, and technical troubles. Hit rate for first-contact resolution is about 80%.

Live chat quality is real human support, not bot responses.

Weakness: weekend support is slow. If you have a critical issue Friday evening, you might wait until Monday. For part-time traders, this isn’t a major issue.

Comparison: better than Oanda, similar to Pepperstone, not as fast as Interactive Brokers.

Reality check: No broker has perfect support. IC Markets is in the top tier for forex brokers though.

I’ve contacted IC Markets support maybe 5-6 times for various questions.

Response time is decent. Live chat during the day gets replies in a few minutes. Email takes a couple hours usually.

They’ve been helpful every time. They actually understand forex trading, which makes a difference when explaining issues.

Weekend support is slower, but I don’t usually need help on weekends anyway.

I’d say their support is solid. Not perfect, but reliable.

Support is decent. Replies in a few hours on weekdays. Good enough for most issues.

Had numerous interactions with IC Markets support over two years. Consistent experience:

Business hours support: Live chat responses within 2-10 minutes depending on how busy they are. Email responses within 1-3 hours. Both channels work.

Support quality: They know what they’re doing. Asked them about account type differences, platform features, commission calculations – all got real answers instead of generic responses.

One specific example: Had a technical issue with my MT5 connection. Took them 15 minutes to diagnose and provide a fix. That’s professional.

Weekend and after-hours: Email gets responses within 12-18 hours. Live chat isn’t available.

Comparison: IC Markets support is better than most retail forex brokers. Not as fast as some premium brokers, but more knowledgeable than average.

Reliability: I’ve never felt ignored or pushed off. When I have an issue, they treat it seriously.

Bottom line: Support quality is one of IC Markets’ stronger points. Wouldn’t count it against them.
