The charting tools are professional grade. For API work, consider connecting it to your broker separately rather than relying on platform integration. Most traders run data and execution through different systems for better control. Don’t overlook commission costs when switching. Some platforms look cheaper but hit you with exchange fees that add up fast on active crude trading.
CQG or Sierra Chart if speed matters most.
MetaTrader 5 handles crude oil futures pretty well if you need advanced order types and custom indicators.
NinjaTrader is another solid option with strong charting and strategy development tools, though the licensing costs add up.
Both have good API support for automation once you get familiar with their systems.
