Been trading crude for three years now and my current platform feels limiting.
Need something with better charting tools and faster execution.
Looking at platforms that can handle complex strategies and have decent API access for automated setups.

ThinkOrSwim has been my go-to for crude oil trading for the past two years. The execution is solid and the studies are extensive enough for complex analysis.
The mobile app actually works well too, which helped me catch some big moves when I wasn’t at my desk.
One thing to watch - their API has some quirks with oil futures data feeds. Had to work around a few issues when setting up my automated alerts.
Also running TradingView on a second monitor for the cleaner charts. The combination works really well for managing multiple crude positions.
TradingView for charts plus a broker with good API like Interactive Brokers works well for crude.
Try eSignal if you want serious execution speed on crude. Their data feed is rock solid and the platform handles complex orders without lag during volatile sessions. The charting tools are professional grade. For API work, consider connecting it to your broker separately rather than relying on platform integration. Most traders run data and execution through different systems for better control. Don’t overlook commission costs when switching. Some platforms look cheaper but hit you with exchange fees that add up fast on active crude trading.
CQG or Sierra Chart if speed matters most.
MetaTrader 5 handles crude oil futures pretty well if you need advanced order types and custom indicators.
NinjaTrader is another solid option with strong charting and strategy development tools, though the licensing costs add up.
Both have good API support for automation once you get familiar with their systems.
