I’ve been using another broker for a while and I’m wondering if switching to FBS would actually make a difference or if it’s just the same thing with different branding.
I want to understand: What are the actual differences in trading costs when you factor in spreads, commissions, and rebates? Is FBS’s platform noticeably more or less reliable than the alternative? What about execution quality during volatile markets?
I’m not looking for a general comparison—I want to know what real traders have actually observed when they’ve used both. Like, did switching genuinely improve your results or was it basically the same? Are execution speeds different? Do withdrawals work about the same?
I’ve heard that rebates through GlobeGain can change the equation, so I’m curious how that factors into total cost when you’re comparing brokers side by side.
If you’ve traded on FBS and another broker, what actually changed for you?
FBS cheaper on spreads than XM usually.
Execution similar between both honestly.
Direct comparison: FBS versus IC Markets, which is common.
FBS spreads slightly wider on majors. EUR/USD FBS is approximately 1.2 pips, IC Markets around 0.9 pips. But FBS rebates offset that gap significantly.
IC Markets has tighter execution and better news handling, but their rebate rates are lower. When you calculate total cost including cashback, FBS comes out cheaper by about 0.15-0.25 pips per lot over time.
Reliability is comparable. Both execute orders cleanly. IC Markets has slight edge on platform responsiveness, but FBS is stable.
Key: if you’re doing high volume, the rebate difference matters. For casual traders, the spread difference is negligible.
Withdrawals similar timing on both. Customer support IC Markets is faster though.
I moved from FxPro to FBS last year.
FBS spreads are actually tighter on most pairs. Execution quality feels similar between them. Both platforms are stable.
The main reason I switched was the rebate structure through GlobeGain. FBS rebates are better documented through the service, which made it easier to track my cashback.
FxPro wasn’t bad at all. FBS just made more sense cost-wise once I calculated everything out.
Reliability-wise, I haven’t noticed a difference. Both execute orders quickly. Both process withdrawals without issues. If you’re happy where you are, switching might not be necessary.
Used Pepperstone before. FBS spreads better. Pretty similar otherwise.
Switched from IC Markets to FBS about a year ago. Here’s what actually changed.
IC Markets has tighter base spreads on EUR/USD and GBP/USD. FBS wider by about 0.3 pips.
But FBS rebate structure is more generous. After GlobeGain cashback, my average cost per round turn is lower on FBS than it was on IC Markets.
Execution quality is almost identical. Both dealing desk, both reliable. IC Markets felt slightly snappier during news spikes but the difference was microseconds.
Withdrawals comparable speed. Customer support IC Markets was faster when I needed it.
Worth switching? If you’re trading high volume and rebates matter to you, yes. If you trade casual, probably not worth the hassle. I switched partly because of costs, partly to test GlobeGain rebate integration, and it worked out.
