I’m torn between Exness and IC Markets. Both have good reputations, and I keep seeing them recommended in different threads. But I’m not good at comparing things side by side, so I want to ask the community directly: for your own trading, which one did you actually choose and why?
I understand that everyone’s situation is different, but I’m looking for practical factors that shifted someone’s decision. Things like spreads, how the platform feels to use, execution quality during volatile periods, or even just which one’s customer support actually helped when they had a problem.
I’m also wondering if cashback rebates actually change the picture here. I’ve heard that GlobeGain rebates apply differently depending on the broker or account type, so I’m curious if that factored into anyone’s decision.
What’s your honest take on these two brokers? If you’ve used both, which one stuck around and why?
Exness for speed IC Markets for tighter spreads. Pick based on your style.
Both are solid. Exness has better leverage options for me.
Both brokers are legitimate and well-regulated. The difference is in execution details.
IC Markets typically offers tighter spreads on major pairs, around 0.7-0.9 pips. Exness sits around 1 pip but has faster execution. During news volatility, IC Markets spreads widen more significantly.
Rebates matter here. If GlobeGain offers 0.4 pips on IC Markets but 0.3 pips on Exness, factor that in. But don’t let a 0.1 pip rebate difference override poor execution.
Better test: open small accounts with both. Trade the same pair on both for 20 trades each. Track your real entry and exit prices. That actual cost data beats any comparison.
I use IC Markets and I’m happy with them. Their spreads really are tighter than Exness, and I track my costs monthly so I notice that difference.
That said, I’ve heard good things about Exness from other traders. I think it comes down to what you value more. If you want the absolute tightest spreads, IC Markets. If you want solid all-around execution, Exness works fine too.
Both apply rebates from GlobeGain, so that’s not really a tiebreaker between them.
I’ve used both. IC Markets feels smoother to me but Exness is fine.
I started with IC Markets three years ago and switched to Exness about a year in. Here’s what shifted my thinking.
IC Markets has tighter spreads on the surface, but their requotes during news can be annoying. You think you’re entering at 1.0850 and suddenly it’s 1.0855. That happens less with Exness.
For my swing trading style, getting filled cleanly without requotes matters more than a 0.2 pip spread difference. Exness felt more straightforward to me.
The rebates from GlobeGain are similar on both, so that wasn’t the deciding factor.
If I were scalping, I’d go back to IC Markets for those tighter spreads. But for holding positions 4-12 hours, Exness works better for my psychology and actual results.
One more thing: the platform experience matters more than people think. I found Exness’ interface more intuitive for my workflow. That small difference kept me from switching back even though IC Markets had slightly better spreads.
Don’t underestimate how much a platform you actually enjoy using affects your consistency as a trader.
