Been trading demo for months and ready to go live with small account.
Looking at spreads and fees but also need something that won’t mess up my orders or have constant platform issues.

FXTM worked well when I started out. Good spreads on their standard account and the platform never gave me trouble with execution.
IC Markets is worth checking out for tighter spreads. You’ll pay commission on their raw spread account, but the overall pricing beats most others.
Skip those brokers pushing massive bonuses - they’re just covering up wider spreads that’ll kill your profits. Look at execution quality and regulation instead.
Start small with whatever broker you choose. You can upgrade later once you see how they actually handle your trades.
FP Markets works well for me. Spreads are decent and the platform is smooth.
Just make sure they are properly regulated. Avoid crazy minimum deposits while figuring things out.
Start with the minimum deposit and test their order execution during busy market hours before committing more cash.
OANDA’s got solid pricing and no minimum deposit. Platform’s been stable for me.
Stay away from those sketchy offshore brokers with the flashy sites.
Pepperstone and XM are both solid for beginners. Pepperstone’s got great execution and their standard account is straightforward. XM lets you trade micro lots, which is perfect when you’re figuring out position sizing with real cash. Don’t go with anything that doesn’t allow 0.01 lots minimum. You’ve got to feel some actual risk or you’ll trade completely different than on demo. Pick regulation over saving a few bucks on spreads. ASIC or FCA brokers cost a bit more but they’ll actually protect your money. Also check how easy it is to deposit funds. Decent brokers give you multiple options without ridiculous fees.
