can you trade forex on weekends successfully?

Been wondering about this since most major pairs barely move during weekends.

The spreads get wider and liquidity drops. Tried a few times but results were mixed at best.

Maybe exotic pairs have more action but feels like fighting an uphill battle.

Focus on charts not on dead markets

Weekend trading’s a waste - you’re eating extra spread costs for tiny price moves.

I thought those Sunday night gaps would be goldmines, but they disappear fast once actual volume kicks in Monday.

Use weekends to review your trades and set alerts for Monday instead.

Only worth it during major news events. Otherwise you’re just burning money on spreads.

Weekend trading’s been a waste of time in my experience. Spent 6 months trying it early on, thinking I’d found some edge.

Sure, spreads are wide, but the real killer is watching your moves get crushed when London opens Monday. Happened to me multiple times - positions looked solid over the weekend, then got wrecked first thing Monday morning.

Major news events are different - elections, economic chaos, that stuff. But you’re still trading on garbage volume, so it’s a crapshoot.

I’d rather spend weekends analyzing charts and planning the week ahead. Way better use of time than trying to milk dead markets.
