Been swing trading for a while but my results are all over the place. Looking at moving averages and RSI mostly but wondering if there are better combinations that actually work for consistent gains.
What indicators do you guys rely on for swing setups that don’t give false signals every other day?
The 20/50 EMA crossover with RSI divergence filter is my go-to for swing entries.
I wait for price to break above the 20 EMA, make sure the 50 EMA’s trending up, then check that RSI isn’t showing bearish divergence.
Bollinger Bands are clutch too - when price bounces off the lower band and heads back toward the middle, that’s usually money. Just need volume backing it up.
Forget the fancy indicators. These simple combos cut out most of my losing trades once I learned to be patient. Don’t jump on partial signals - wait for everything to align.
Stochastic with support and resistance levels works better than RSI for me. Less noise.
Use MACD and price action for clearer signals.
