Best stock trading classes for absolute beginners?

Been trading forex for a while but want to get into stocks now.
The market mechanics seem different enough that I should probably take a proper class.

Anyone here made the switch and found courses that actually helped?
Looking for something that covers the basics without being too theoretical.

Skip classes and just start with penny stocks first.

Stock fundamentals matter way more than forex. Check out Investopedia’s free courses before paying for anything else.

Made the same jump 3 years ago. Stock order types confused me at first - way more choices than forex.

Skipped formal classes, just used YouTube. “Trading 212” has great beginner videos that aren’t complicated. Covers market orders, limit orders, basic chart reading.

Biggest difference is volume data. We don’t use it much in forex, but stocks need volume confirmation for most setups.

Start with paper trading. Stock volatility is different than currency pairs, especially during earnings. I lost money learning that lesson.

Your forex background definitely helps with stocks. The technical analysis skills you have will be useful. Focus on learning market hours, earnings seasons, and sector rotations. Interactive Brokers offers good free webinars that explain stock order types and market structure. Start trading with large-cap stocks because they are more predictable than small caps. Stick to liquid stocks like AAPL or MSFT as you adjust to this market’s movements.
