But here’s what I’m trying to figure out: does the GlobeGain rebate actually matter when you’re starting out, or is it just a small bonus on top of your decision?
I know I want something beginner-friendly. Lower barriers to entry, easy platform, decent support. But I’m also seeing people talk about maximizing rebates, and I’m wondering if I should be picking my account based on that too, or if I should just pick what feels right and take the rebate as a bonus.
For someone just starting, should the rebate factor into which account type I choose? Or should I focus on other stuff first?
As a beginner, I’d focus on the account that feels easiest to use and has good support first. The rebate is real money, but it matters less when you’re still learning because your trade volume is lower anyway.
Standard account is usually a good starting point. Spreads are acceptable, it’s simple, and the rebate adds up over time. Once you know your trading style better, you can switch if it makes sense.
Don’t let rebate optimization distract you from actually learning to trade consistently.
Rebates do matter, but not in the way most beginners think. If you’re trading 5-10 lots per week, the rebate difference between Standard and Pro might be 5-10 dollars per month. That’s nice but not life changing.
Pick Standard if you want simplicity. The wider spreads are fine for a beginner learning position management. Once you’re consistently profitable and trading 50+ lots weekly, then worry about Pro’s tighter execution.
The rebate will accumulate, but your skill development matters 100x more in year one.

Once I improved my actual trading, then the rebate became meaningful. By year two I switched to Pro because my volume justified it, but that’s after I knew my style.
Don’t overthink it. Use Standard, learn the platform, build consistency, then optimize.
One practical thing: RoboForex offers a demo account. Use it first to get comfortable with the platform and spreads. Then open Standard for real money. The rebate will be there waiting regardless. Your learning curve is the actual cost—not which account tier you pick.
The support aspect matters more at the start. Make sure you can actually reach someone if something goes wrong. Standard accounts get the same support as Pro, so that’s not a reason to upgrade early.
Just pick Standard and focus on your first 20-50 trades. Once you see patterns in your results, then think about switching.
