Anyone using the divergence test calculator?

Been seeing this divergence test calculator pop up in different trading communities lately.

Wondering if it’s actually useful or just another tool that sounds better than it performs. What’s your experience with it?

Used it for 3 months when I was obsessed with divergence trading. The calculator works fine - catches basic RSI and MACD divergences no problem.

But it doesn’t tell you which ones are worth trading. I ended up taking way too many garbage setups just because the tool said “divergence detected.”

What actually helped? Learning to spot them myself and only trading divergences near major support/resistance. Once I got decent at reading price action, the calculator became pretty useless.

Skip it. Just practice on TradingView instead. Takes a few weeks but you’ll develop way better judgment than any automated tool gives you.

Sure, calculators spot divergences, but they don’t teach you when they actually matter. Most divergences fail without solid market structure behind them.

I keep it simple - only hunt for divergences when price hits key levels. Takes longer to learn doing it manually, but your trade selection gets way better.

Tried it briefly but got way too many false signals. You’re better off just learning divergence patterns manually.

Divergence calculators can mislead you. They distract from price movement and create dependency on indicators. Many traders get stuck relying on them for trading decisions. Real divergence trading involves understanding momentum in context. These tools miss the nuances that differentiate successful trades. Focus on price action; that is what truly counts.
