Been running some AI tools for the past few months alongside my manual setups.
Results are mixed so far. Sometimes the signals align perfectly with my analysis, other times they’re completely off.
What’s your experience been like? Worth the subscription costs?
Skip the fancy AI stuff and just backtest your own setups.
AI can be useful if you know how to use it. Many traders follow signals without understanding them. I use AI to scan for patterns, but I always make the final decision. It helps to identify setups across many pairs fast. Choose tools that explain their recommendations. If the AI can’t justify a trade, it’s best to let it go. Investing in good backtesting tools or reliable charting software is a better choice.
Tried a TradingView AI service for 6 months - waste of money. The calls weren’t bad, actually nailed some solid moves on major pairs.
But timing killed me. It’d signal a setup at 2 AM while I’m asleep. Wake up and the move’s half over or already reversing.
Lost way more chasing those stale signals than I ever made from the winners. Classic FOMO trap.
Stick to basic screeners now and do my own analysis. Cheaper and I know exactly why I’m in each trade.
I’ve tried three AI trading services this past year. Two were total trash - just repackaged indicators with slick marketing.
The third one helped spot patterns on EUR/USD and GBP/USD. It caught breakouts I would’ve missed, but completely fell apart during news events and choppy conditions.
Bottom line? Treat them like another tool, not your main strategy. I do my technical analysis first, then see if the AI agrees. When they match up, my win rate jumps.
Most aren’t worth the monthly cost. You’re better off saving that money and learning price action instead.
Tried AI signals for scalping but they’re way too slow for quick entries. Might work better for swing trading though.
Subscription fees pile up fast when you consider trading costs and spreads.
I have tested many AI systems. They perform well in trending markets, but during volatility, they often fail.
Now, I prefer using free or inexpensive scanning tools and rely on my own judgment for entries and exits.
