Been seeing this indicator pop up everywhere but honestly it just looks like a mess of lines to me.
Anyone actually use this thing successfully? Seems way more complex than simple moving averages.

Been using Ichimoku for 3 years. Yeah, it’s overwhelming at first - five lines all over the place.
The cloud is what matters most. Price above = uptrend, below = downtrend. Price inside the cloud? Market’s sideways and confused.
Tenkan and Kijun are basically fast/slow moving averages. Watch for crossovers - they signal trend shifts.
Took me months to figure this out. I ignored everything except the cloud at first. Once I got that down, I slowly added the other lines.
Stick to H4 and daily timeframes. I tried M15 but got way too many fake signals. This indicator needs space.
I still use regular MAs though. Ichimoku’s great for market structure, but sometimes simple moving averages are better for quick trades.
It’s actually pretty useful once you figure it out.
I watch for price breaking out of the cloud with decent volume. If it holds above or below for a few candles, that’s usually a solid signal for trend direction.
The other lines help time entries, but the cloud shows you where the market’s really headed.
Tried Ichimoku but found it messy. I prefer sticking to support and resistance. It fits my trading style better.
