Before I commit my money to FBS, I need to know if their MT4 and MT5 platforms actually hold up when things get crazy. I’ve heard some horror stories about platforms freezing or disconnecting during high volatility, and I don’t want to be stuck unable to close a position when the market moves against me.
Has anyone actually tested FBS’s platform stability during busy market times? Which platform is more reliable—MT4 or MT5? And more importantly, how quickly does their support respond if something goes wrong while you’re trading?

Platform stability depends on your setup, not just the broker. This matters.
FBS MT4 is stable on their servers. I’ve used it for years. MT5 has more features but uses more system resources. If your internet connection isn’t solid or your computer isn’t fast enough, you’ll blame the broker when it’s often your setup.
That said, FBS servers do experience lag during extreme volatility. I’ve seen 2-3 second delays on order execution during major releases. Not crashes, but noticeable delays.
Test this before funding: download the platform, use their demo account during a volatile market day, and see how it performs. Your real test environment matters more than what I tell you. If it freezes on demo during busy times, it’ll likely freeze live too.
I’ve been using FBS MT4 for trading for about two years now. Platform crashes are rare, honestly. Maybe once or twice per year I get a disconnect, but reconnecting is fast.

Where traders actually lose money isn’t platform crashes. It’s slow execution during news. That’s different. Your order goes through but a second late, and you’re slipped 2 pips. That costs more than a temporary disconnect.
