I’ve been looking at RoboForex account types for a while now and honestly, they all sound pretty similar on paper. Standard, Pro, ECN - the spreads and commissions are listed, but I can’t get a clear picture of what I’m actually paying when everything adds up.
Then I started thinking about rebates. GlobeGain offers cashback on trades, but I’m not sure how much it actually changes the equation between account types. Like, if one account has tighter spreads but higher commission, and another has wider spreads but no commission, does the rebate actually help me figure out which one is cheaper?
I’m trying to calculate my real cost per trade, but I want to see real numbers from people who are actually trading on these accounts with rebates factored in. Are you finding that rebates significantly change which RoboForex account type makes the most sense for your strategy? Or is the difference pretty small once you do the math?
Start by mapping out your average monthly volume and which pairs you trade. Then calculate your cost three ways: spread alone, spread plus commission, and spread plus commission minus rebate.
For most traders, Standard accounts with ECN rebates come out ahead if you trade more than 50 lots monthly. Pro accounts matter if you’re doing 200+ lots per month and need tighter spreads during volatile periods.
The rebate timing matters too. If GlobeGain pays weekly, you can reinvest it immediately. Monthly payouts feel smaller psychologically but the math is identical over time. Track three months of actual statements before switching accounts.
I track my costs pretty carefully and honestly, the rebate does add up over time. Not life-changing money, but it’s there.
What I found useful was comparing the accounts based on my actual trading volume. I do around 150 lots per month, mostly EUR/USD and GBP/USD, so I ran the numbers for those specific pairs on each account type. The Standard account with rebates came out about 3-4 pips cheaper per lot than the Pro account for my style.
Your results will depend on what you trade and how often. It’s worth spending an hour calculating your specific scenario.
Been trading RoboForex for about two years now. The rebate difference is real but smaller than most people think.
I tested Standard and Pro accounts side by side for three months with identical positions. The Pro account’s tighter spreads saved me maybe 5-6 pips per 100 lots, but the extra commission cost me about 8-10 pips. GlobeGain rebates covered about 40% of that gap.
Ended up on Standard because the math worked better for my volume. If you’re under 100 lots monthly, honestly the difference between accounts is noise. Focus on execution quality and withdrawal speed instead.
Standard plus rebates beats Pro for most traders under 200 lots.
Rebates do help but spreads matter more. Calculate both before deciding between accounts.
