How good is FBS customer support and what educational resources actually help?

I’m trying to get a realistic sense of whether FBS’s customer support is reliable when actual problems come up, and whether their educational materials are worth anything.

Specifically: How responsive is their support team when you need help? Do they actually solve problems or just give generic answers? How long do you usually wait for a response?

On the education side: Are their tutorials actually useful for traders at beginner or intermediate level? Or is it just standard stuff you can find anywhere? Does the quality of their resources match what you’d get from other brokers?

I’m also curious whether there’s a learning curve with FBS that’s different from other brokers, or if switching accounts wouldn’t change much educationally.

I know support and education aren’t what people usually get excited about, but they matter when you’re learning or when something goes wrong.

What’s your actual experience with FBS customer support and their learning materials?

Support slow. Education materials are basic honestly.

Took days for reply once pretty frustrating.

FBS support is their weak point. Average response time is 24-48 hours via email. Live chat during business hours is faster but sometimes you just get redirected to scripted answers.

Their educational content is thin. Beginner guides exist but they’re surface level. Articles on technical analysis and strategy are generic—nothing specific to FBS or dealing with their platform specifically.

If you’re coming from another broker, you won’t find expert support here. They handle account issues eventually, but don’t expect rapid problem solving.

Where they’re adequate: FAQ section covers common questions. Platform tutorials on MT4 exist.

Recommendation: if you need active education or support hand-holding, FBS isn’t the best choice. For self-directed traders who know what they’re doing, the slow support is just an inconvenience, not a deal breaker.

I’ve contacted FBS support a couple times and it took longer than I expected.

First time I asked about account verification, got a response in about 30 hours. Second time was faster, maybe 18 hours.

They do answer your questions, but they’re not sitting in chat waiting to help. It’s functional customer service, not premium.

Their educational materials are okay if you’re just starting out. They have articles and video tutorials. Nothing amazing, but it covers the basics.

If you’re experienced, you won’t need their education anyway. If you’re brand new, it’ll get you started but you’ll probably find better resources elsewhere.

FBS support is slower than I’d like but serviceable. I’ve had to contact them maybe 5 times over several years. Responses came within 24-48 hours. Nothing urgent was ever critical though.

Educational materials are limited. They have basic tutorials and strategy articles. If you’re already experienced, you’re not using them. If you’re learning, it helps but it’s not comprehensive.

Compared to brokers like IG or Saxo, FBS education is definitely thinner. But for a dealing desk broker, it’s about what you’d expect.

Main thing: don’t rely on FBS tutorials if you’re brand new. Use them as supplementary, not foundational. The community and external resources will serve you better.
