any latest gold and silver news updates?

Been watching precious metals lately but feels like I’m missing something important.

Anyone catch any major developments this week that might affect gold/silver prices? Market seems weird right now.

Geopolitical tensions are really influencing the market in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. When uncertainty rises, gold and silver often gain support, regardless of Fed actions.

Gold’s reaction at current levels is important. If it stays above 2000, even with dollar strength, it shows institutional buying interest.

Silver usually tracks gold, but its industrial applications make it more sensitive during economic fluctuations.

Gold’s been choppy because of mixed signals on Fed policy. Powell’s comments yesterday were pretty dovish but the jobs data from Tuesday was stronger than expected.

Silver got hit harder - dropped about 2% after some industrial demand concerns came out of China. The manufacturing PMI numbers weren’t great.

What’s really moving things is the dollar strength. DXY pushed above 104 and that’s putting pressure on both metals. I’ve been trading the XAUUSD bounces around 2010 support but staying light on position size.

Also keep an eye on the Treasury yields. 10-year hit 4.35% earlier this week and that’s not helping the precious metals case.

Central banks are buying gold heavily this quarter. This is supporting prices even with the dollar’s strength.

Silver miners getting crushed harder than the metal itself.

Watch the inflation data coming Thursday. CPI numbers will likely drive both metals more than anything else this week. If it comes in hot, gold could break above the 2040 resistance level. The real story is institutional money flow. ETF outflows have been steady for three weeks but physical demand from Asia keeps picking up. This creates weird price action where technicals don’t work as expected. Silver’s industrial demand weakness is temporary. Supply constraints from Peru and Mexico are building up for next quarter.
